Privacy policy

This policy covers tefo.ai, the waiting list and signing in to a Tefo account. Tefo is run by Cogria Ltd, a company based in London, United Kingdom, which is the controller of the data described here. UK data protection law applies. The product is not yet open to the public. Before it opens, this policy will be extended to cover it, and people on the waiting list will be told.

What we collect

• Waiting list. Your email address, when you asked to join, and when you confirmed.
• Account. Your email address, and a record of each sign-in: when it happened, the IP address and the browser.
• Email you send us. Whatever you write to hello@tefo.ai or privacy@tefo.ai.

This site has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in. Like any website, our hosting provider logs requests, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the service running.

What we use it for

• To confirm your email address and tell you when you can start using Tefo.
• To sign you in and keep your account yours.
• To answer you when you write to us.

We rely on your consent for the waiting list, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure service for sign-in records and logs. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

Cloudflare hosts this site and stores the waiting list and accounts. Resend delivers our emails, so it sees your email address and the messages we send you. Both process the data on our behalf and may do so outside the United Kingdom under the safeguards the law requires.

How long we keep it

• An address that was never confirmed is deleted within 30 days.
• A confirmed address stays on the waiting list until you ask to leave or the list is closed.
• Account data stays until you delete the account or ask us to.

Screens of your phone

Tefo works by letting an AI see your iPhone's screen. With your own AI, a screenshot is passed to the AI app you connected and is not stored by Tefo. With Tefo's AI, screens are saved only if you opt in to help improve the product, and you can opt out again. The full detail will be in this policy before either is open to you.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Write to privacy@tefo.ai and we will answer within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects data we already hold about you, we will email you first.
